Prison Service has new Director-General
PRAGUE, 1 October (VS ČR) - brig. gen. Simon Michailidis becomes new Director-General as Lt. gen. Petr Dohnal steps down.
Mr. Dohnal has been the longest-serving Director-General since the establishment of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic. Mr. Dohnal has been in service for more than 30 years and became the DG in 2012.
Since 2016, Mr. Michailidis has been Deputy DG for Education and Special Treatment. Being working with the Czech Prison Service for over 28 years, he now becomes the new Director-General of the law-enforcement agency with more than 11.000 employees and almost 19.000 inmates.
