Reforms in Times of Economic Crisis

The main topics to be discussed in Kromeriz from 6th to 9th September 2010 are for example the impact of the economic crisis on European prison systems, functional models of electronic monitoring and home detention, cooperation between public and private sectors and/or the latest phenomena influencing strategic activities of European prison systems.

The conference is under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. The Prison Service of the Czech Republic invites those interested in the conference topics. Traditionally the conference is attended by directors general of European Prison Services, prison governors, representatives of organizations and associations involved in penal matters, contributing to enhance penal processes and/or reintegration of the prisoners and independent authorities delegates.
