EuroPris is a new organisation that speaks for the view of the EU prison professionals and intents to enhance public safety and security and to promote humane and right-based imprisonment. Jiří Tregler, Director General of the Czech Prison Service is one of the EuroPris members.

ST. PETERSBURG 29th July (Reuters) - Authorities on Wednesday captured a man in Colorado who escaped nearly 32 years ago from the Florida prison where he was serving a life sentence for murder. Frederick Barrett, 60, slipped away from the Union Correctional Institution in Raiford during a nighttime power outage on August 17, 1979.
